 Essential Skills and Experience

 

  1. 2 to 3 years experience as quality analyst working on medium to high complexity IT projects.
  2. Understand product requirements and use that as a base for test documents.
  3. Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  4. Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in computer programming.
  5. Experience with Java and Java Script.
  6. Ability to detect, report, track and explain defects effectively.
  7. Ability to write clear, concise and effective correspondence, test plans, procedures and scenarios in accordance with policies.
  8. Review test scenarios and test cases.
  9. Test design and planning (SDLC).
  10. Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design end-to-end testing coverage plan.
  11. Design and development of test strategies and test cases.
  12. Develop test data.
  13. Load testing.
  14. Identify any potential quality issues per defined process.
  15. Initiative in identifying and solving problems.
  16. Execution of functional, integration, sanity and regression test cases to verify the functionality and efficiency of developed or enhanced software products.
  17. Executing tests Defect identification and reporting.
  18. Work closely with software engineers in the development, execution, and results of tests
  19. Execution of browser / OS compatibility testing.
  20. Execute and evaluate test cases, report defects and track their progress through to closure.
  21. Proactively expanding knowledge regarding software test methodologies
  22. Experience with report writing tools a plus.
  23. Ability to work independently as required.
  24. Proficient in office productivity software, Word, Excel, PPT, Project, Visio, etc.
  25. Review test scenarios and test cases.

  • Knowledge using automated test tools.
  • Qualification - (B.E/B.TECH, BCA, MCA/ Diploma or IT Technical qualification).
