ETL Tool Proficiency:
- Utilize ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) proficiently to create and optimize data workflows.
Data Quality Assurance:
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
Performance Tuning:
- Optimize ETL processes for performance, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring efficient data loading within defined time frames.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including database administrators and business analysts, to understand data requirements and business rules.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and transformations.
Error Handling and Logging:
- Implement robust error handling mechanisms and logging procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and debugging.
Automation:
- Explore opportunities for automation in ETL processes, minimizing manual interventions and enhancing overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an ETL Developer with a track record of successful ETL implementations - required experience 5-8 years
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Programming Languages:
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or scripting languages for custom ETL solutions.
Database Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data warehousing concepts.
